Marty Escarcega put on t presentation about CNC
conversions and basic CNC information. The thrust of the discussion
involved the conversion to CNC of a currently manual machine, but included
information about upgrading a current CNC to a newer style controller.
Types of motors, Stepper vs. Servo was a major topic of the morning. The
benefits and pitfalls of each type were presented along with types of
controllers that a person converting a system had to choose from.
